Perhaps the most frequented room by students and staff alike at Hogwarts is the Great Hall. The four house tables stand side by side underneath an enchanted ceiling full of stars and constellations. There is a large staff table that stands in front of the four tables and over looks them. Two huge wooden doors open up into the Great Hall and serve as the doors before the entrance hall into Hogwarts castle.

The Entrance Hall has a ceiling nearly the height of the one found in the Great Hall, but it is not quite that tall seeing as it doesn't possess the enchantment that the one in the Great Hall does. Lined in gray stone the entrance hall into Hogwarts is nothing to classy, but the marble staircase that leads up to the higher levels is. The marble staircase always appears very polished and white despite the fact that it is the main route that students take upstairs while getting to classes on the higher levels of the castle.

This is one place you would not want to get caught if you are a student or even a staff member. The caretaker of Hogwarts usually frequents this office during different hours of the day. The office itself is rather medieval in appearance, it has rusted chains hanging off the walls and the ceiling. In addition to this the office contains a line of filing cabinets and a few good heavy coats of dust from the misuse it has received throughout the years. Occasionally students are sent here to serve a detention or two if they get into trouble.

This broom cupboard happens to be out of the way of the main corridors that lead into the heart of the castle. This is where a lot of the cleaning supplies for the castle are stored including any sort of cleaning sprays that might help get rid of an unwanted vandalism written on the walls of the corridors, though some people have found more...erm.. interesting ways to use the closet. The closest itself is rather dark, but it is kept very clean with all the cleaning supplies inside it organized.

The Professors of Hogwarts can be found lounging here in between class periods. The room is rather long and obstructed by all sorts of mismatched furniture. Complete with a wizard radio and a small coffee pot that collects dust in the corner the room is occasionally filled with teachers. Students are not allowed in here, but if they need a Professor who happens not to be teaching a class they might very well find them here.

The ground floor corridor remains similar in appearance to any other corridor on any level of Hogwarts castle. The corridor is lined on both sides with a string of torches and stretches throughout the ground floor of Hogwarts. It is lined with a few scattered windows here and there letting in a good amount of light during the day. The windows are tall and very narrow ones with iron plating in the middle of their structures.
